[ pillow talk ]

I think the weather in Toronto is in a strange state of confusion today, which inadvertently drags us into the same predicament. Ever since this morning, it felt and looked as though thunder showers are on the verge of breaking out any minute now but there hasn’t been a drop in sight. Talk about deceptive appearances… If I had to give you an analogy I would say that this weather is like a spoiled six-year-old girl who is just about to start wailing and has sustained that painfully wrinkled look of dissatisfaction on her face for hours. It’s like that “I’m about to start yelling face” is frozen in time for all of us to ‘enjoy.’ Anyway, I didn’t want to risk testing the law of irony today so I kept today’s mini-shoot indoors.

What I’m wearing:

  • Vintage leather riding-boots
  • Leather belt by “Forty-Nine Square Miles (SQ MI)”
  • Silk dress by “Custo Barcelona”
  • Silk kimono jacket by “Dries Van Noten”
  • Large leather bag by “NICOLI”
  • Headband by “Priti Moudgill”

  1. I completely agree with you with the weather today…it’s been on the brink of rain all day… but I cannnot complain, it hasn’t rained…which would just make it cooler outside than it needs to be! 🙂 I absolutely love this outfit on you and the setting which you took the photos in. I agree with Daphne, I don’t recognize a lot of the brand but I think the pieces all look fabulous…

    1. Thanks Robin. Yeah, I’m also glad it’s not raining of course. I’m just surprised it’s hanging in there so long :). To be honest, I’m often unfamiliar with some of the brands myself until I get home and google them. It’s amazing how many relatively unknown designers and brands there are out there. But I sorf of prefer it that way – it keeps things more exciting and fresh.

ps. the setting is my room at my parents’ house actually ;).

    1. Thank you so much for the encouragement and your kind words. i am very pleased to hear that you enjoy my blog. What you said about Custo clothing is so true – when you look though their collections, everything is usually filled with animation-like prints and bright designs. This dress is definitely one of their more unusual pieces.

      Love Lida
